World Law Foundation Sets the Stage for 2027 World Law Congress in Tirana

A delegation from the World Law Foundation, led by CEO Angela Montoya, together with Gabriel Fernández Rojas (WLF International Advisor and Chief of Staff to Javier Cremades) and Jacobo Docampo (General Coordinator of the WLF), conducted an institutional visit to Tirana to begin organizing the World Law Congress 2027. This major global gathering will turn the Albanian capital into a hub for the international legal community.

Over several days, the delegation held meetings with representatives of the Government of Albania, the Ministry of Justice, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, and the country’s leading universities. The purpose of these meetings was to lay the groundwork for a Congress that will once again bring together heads of state, judges, jurists, and global leaders to promote the rule of law as a cornerstone of freedom and peace.

Among the most notable meetings, the delegation was received by key Albanian authorities, including Besfort Lamallari, Minister of Justice; Holta Zaçaj, President of the Constitutional Court; Sokol Sadushi, President of the Supreme Court of Albania; Dr. Artan Hoxha, Chancellor of the University of Tirana; and Prof. Dr. Dorina Hoxha, Dean of the Faculty of Law.

The meeting with Sokol Sadushi, President of the Supreme Court, stood out for its institutional relevance, underscoring the commitment of Albania’s highest judicial authorities to international cooperation and the strengthening of the rule of law in preparation for the World Law Congress 2027.

These meetings reflect a shared spirit of collaboration and institutional support for an event that will place Albania at the heart of the global legal debate, reaffirming the rule of law as a fundamental pillar of peace and international coexistence.
